CUPE Local 3166:

CUPE Local 3166 is a composite local comprising two units representing over 350 Clerical, Technical, Custodial and Maintenance staff in the Halton Catholic District School Board. 3166.00 Clerical & Technical unit represents over 250 members in over 30 job classifications, such as application analysts, clerks, computer technicians, library technicians, office assistants, receptionists and secretaries. 3166.01 Custodial & Maintenance unit represents over 100 members in over 10 job classifications such as afternoon custodians, day custodians, floater custodians, maintenance custodians and maintenance (skilled trades). Local 3166 is affiliated with the OSBCU, CUPE Ontario and CUPE National.

 

OSBCU:

The Ontario School Board Council of Unions (OSBCU) unites over 50,000 school board workers in the public, Catholic, English and French school systems across the province. OSBCU members include education assistants, school library workers, administrative assistants, custodians and tradespeople, early childhood educators, child and youth workers, instructors, nutrition service workers, school safety monitors and social workers, and so many more in schools and board offices. There are over 50 CUPE locals in Ontario’s school board sector.

 

CUPE Ontario:

CUPE Ontario represents over 250,000 members. There are over 700 CUPE locals in the province. CUPE Ontario’s key sectors include health care, municipalities, universities, social services and school boards.

 

CUPE National:

The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) is Canada’s largest union, with over 700,000 members across the country. CUPE represents workers in health care, emergency services, education, early learning and child care, municipalities, social services, libraries, utilities, transportation, airlines and more. CUPE National has more than 70 offices across the country, in every province.
